Mr. Domenic Ferraro, 89, passed away peacefully at St Vincent Medical Center with his family by his side.
Domenic was born on February 27, 1927 in Worcester, Massachusetts a son of the late Guiseppe and Theresa (Altomari) Ferraro. Loving husband of fifty-six years to the late Rita (Capalbo) Ferraro whom he lost in 2004.
A lifelong resident of Worcester, Domenic served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He returned home and began his career as a mechanic, working for the Worcester Police Department as a supervisor in the maintenance department for the past forty-five years. He also worked part time nights at Holden Heating and once retired worked as a part time ranger at Greenhill Golf Club for the last several years.
He loved the game of golf, playing many times at Greenhill Golf Club and he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking.
Domenic was the father of the late Stephen and Donald Sr. Ferraro; and sibling to the late, Anthony, Pasqaule, James, and George Ferraro, and to sisters, Stella Bisceglia, Irene Cronin, Christine Viens and Rose Gallagher.
Domenic is survived by his daughter, Judith Olds; five grandchildren, Donald Ferraro Jr. and his wife Denise, Jayda Ferraro, Jason Ferraro and his wife Erin, Michael Olds, Daniel Olds, Paul Latino; also he leaves a close friend and neighbor, Dorothy Carlson.
FERRARO - Calling hours will be on Wednesday morning August 17th from 9:00 am to 11:00am at FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St, Worcester.
