Obituary

DUDLEY – Therese C. (Gibeault) Tittle, 77, of 15 Lakeview Ave., died Monday, July 25, at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.

She leaves her husband of 57 years, Billy A. Tittle; 6 children, William R. Tittle and his wife Jane M. of Dudley, Brenda M. Martin and her husband Larry of Cincinnati, OH, Deborah A. Makowski-Inman and her husband Thail of Webster, David W. Tittle and his wife Susan M. of Charlton, Brian A. Tittle of Manchester, NH, and Paula L. Gaudet and her husband Ronald of Old Lyme, CT; a brother, Normand Gibeault of Sturbridge; a sister, Irene Germaine of Southbridge; 10 grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Her brother, Gerard Gibeault, died in 1986.

She was born in Sturbridge and raised in Southbridge, a daughter of Henri and Celina (Marchessault) Gibeault, and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1947. She moved here in 1959. While in high school, she enjoyed volunteering as a candy striper at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge.

Mrs. Tittle was a nurse’s aide for the Visiting Nurses’ Association of Southern Worcester County for several years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Webster and a past president of the Webster Emblem Club. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.

A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, July 30, at 9:30 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St., Webster. Burial will be in New Notre Dame Cemetery, Southbridge. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
