Walter J. Budra of Somerville died on Saturday, August 13 at the Meadow Green Nursing Center of Waltham. Born and raised in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Louis and Julia (Burbul) Budra. Walter proudly served his country as a United States Marine during WWII. He was employed as a carpenter and lived in Medford for many years.
Walter was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor (Souza) Budra and the devoted father of Stephen Budra and his wife MaryBeth of Ashland, Paul Budra and his wife Savina of Tewksbury, Julie Budra and her loving companion Phillip Jordhamo of Somerville. Walter was the loving grandfather of Paul, Katharine and Ann Budra, and brother of the late Joseph and Leo Budra. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, August 18 at 9AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St, Medford, at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday, August 17, from 4 through 8PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
