Obituary

CHICOPEE – Lillian E. (Rouillard) Nubile, 98, a lifelong resident of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Friday, August 12, 2016. She passed into Eternal Life at Willimansett Center West in Chicopee surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born at home on Dickinson Street in Aldenville on July 25, 1918, a beloved daughter of the late Cyril and Hermine (Patenaude) Rouillard. She was raised in Aldenville and was a lifelong resident of Chicopee. She was a member of the Willimansett American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Unit 353 and a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church, both in Chicopee. During her leisure time, she was an avid knitter and knitted hundreds of cancer caps that were donated to many children and adults through the Valley Opportunity Council. Most of all, she was a loving woman who adored her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend of 49 years, Eugene Nubile who was Called Home on March 15, 1996. In addition to her beloved parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her loving son, Kenneth E. Nubile who was Called Home on December 31, 2014; and her four dear sisters, Jeannette Rouillard, Rhea Y. Vellereal, Leona C. Rouillard and Alma Lavoie. She leaves her two loving sons, Russell L. Nubile and his wife, Kathy, of Chicopee and Allan J. Nubile and his wife, B.J., of Ashfield; her daughter-in-law, Delores Nubile of Red Lion, PA; her nine cherished grandchildren, Todd Rost and his wife, Kim, Brock Nubile and his wife, Stacy, Gina Betts and her husband, Ryan, Coulette Lioce and her husband, Luca, Dennis Desormier, Andrew Desormier and his wife, Jessica, Jeffrey Desormier and his wife, Danielle, Sasha Rasid and Jesse Rasid and his wife, Chihiro; her 15 cherished great-grandchildren; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Nubile and Rouillard families. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday morning, August 17, 2016 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 7:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her Burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
