Evans, GA – Entered into rest Friday, August 12, 2016, Mrs. Betty Jean Hollis, 84, wife to the late Ardell O’Connor Hollis, Sr.
Mrs. Hollis was a native of Swainsboro but has lived in Evans for the last 5 years. She was a member of The Sanctuary Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Family members include her daughter: Celia H. Albert and husband John of Martinez; son: Ardell O’Connor Hollis, Jr. and wife Lynn of Tuscumbia, AL; brother: Ben Meadows and wife Carolyn of New Hope, PA; sister: Jimmie Baker and husband Don of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren: Michael Albert and wife Sandy of Warrenville, SC, Marianne Albert of Martinez, GA; and 5 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Bryan Cockrell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
