Ruth I Goyette, 77, of Dennis, formerly of Carver, passed away peacefully after a long illness on August 8, 2016. Ruth was born in New Bedford, to Walter & Clara Conquest. Ruth was married to Paul N Goyette for 51 years. Ruth graduated from New Bedford Vocational High School. She was an exceptionally talented artist, always painting and creating. Ruth was especially famous for her hand crafted kitchen witches & dolls. Ruth was the owner of Pogo's Restaurant for 10 years in Plympton.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband Paul N. Goyette, son, Paul W. Goyette & wife Donna Goyette, daughters, Valerie Goyette and Deborah Goyette & partner Peter Gadoury. She has two sisters, Joan Chase and Betty Biedermann, deceased, also leaves Karen Biedernann and Derek Fernald along with many grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, August 16th from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St. (Rt. 58), Carver. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brigham and Women's Hospital - The Alzheimer's Fund at https://brighamandwomans.org/alzheimers-disease.
