Obituary

COCHITUATE: Donald George Williams, 90, died peacefully and comfortably on Monday, August 8, 2016 following a period of declining health.
He was born in Dedham on October 12, 1925 the son of the late William J. Williams and Rita (Buillard) Williams.
He was the devoted father of Donald Williams of Carver; Steve Williams and his wife Linda Williams of Natick; Trish Williams and her husband Michael Vrotsos of Natick; Kathleen StoLLer and her husband Richard Stoller of Natick and the late Timothy Williams who died on August 8, 1981. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Brother of the late William Williams and Bernard Cunningham. Don was the husband for 53 years of the late Marguerite C. “Peg” (McDonough) Williams who died on April 16, 2000.
Don spent his formative years in Dedham and has been a long time resident of Cochituate for the past 68 years. He was the co-founder and LONGTIME owner of Middlesex Auto Body of Natick before retiring. He served his country proudly and with honor during World War II with the United States Navy as a Motor Machinist Mate 2nd Class.
He enjoyed traveling to Ireland with his wife Peg celebrating one of their wedding anniversaries. Don also enjoyed time spent with his family especially all the memories they shared on the water at his cottage In East Freetown. He also enjoyed boating and fishing. He loved to meet people from all walks of life and enjoyed being in their company.
Don wanted to extend a warm thank you to all of those people who helped him throughout his life who were many.
Visitations will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Cochituate.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10:30 am.
Interment will follow in the Williams family lot in Saint Zepherin’s Cemetery, Bent Avenue, Cochituate.
In lieu of flowers his family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in Don’s memory be sent to a Veteran’s organization of the donor’s choice.
