Margaret Irene (Chapman) Landry of Derry NH, formally of Reading, MA passed away Wednesday August 10, 2016 at The Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. Margaret was born on July 28, 1928 in Medford, MA to the Late Gerald C. Chapman and Helen M. (Wilson) Delorey. She was 88.
Margaret married John L. Landry on October 5, 1946 until his death on June 16,1994. She had worked at Agfa Corporation for over 20 years until her retirement in 1994.
Margaret's passions included spending time cooking and caring for her family and friends. She was generous, compassionate, and was a very loving Mother and Grandmother.
She leaves behind her daughter, Susan M. Petrin and her husband Ron of Derry, four grandchildren, Marc Landry and his wife Jillian of Pembroke, NH, Eric Landry, Jacquelyn Petrin and Daniel Petrin all of Derry, four great-grandchildren, Cole and Kyle of Pembroke, and Lily and Ava of Derry, daughter-In-law, Susan R. Landry of Londonderry, NH, two sisters, Helen Issac of Quincy, MA and Eleanor Nichols of NH. She was predeceased by her husband John, her son David, three brothers, David Chapman, Richard Delorey, Sterling Chapman, and one sister, Geraldine Jaynes.
Her daughter requests that in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Rd., Merrimack, NH 03054 in Margaret's Memory.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Saturday August 13, 2016 from 1 – 3pm at the Central Congregational Church, 14 Crescent St., Derry. A memorial service followed at 3:00pm in the Church. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry is assisting the family with arrangements.
