In Loving Memory of Antonio DaVeiga
Born on April 8, 1943 in Fogo, Cape Verde, he was the son of Jose DaVeiga and Maria Nunes. At 73 years of his amazing life, Antonio took his last breath on August 3, 2016.
Antonio is survived by his wife of 49 years, Eugenia DaVeiga, his 6 children; Ashtin, Armando, Carlos, Monica, Ze and Zelino, his 23 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind many loving brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Antonio worked as a Tailor in Fogo, Cape Verde before entering the United Stated on November 17, 1979 with his wife and children. He worked as a Molder in the United States. Within a year of entering the United States, Antonio and Eugenia bought their first home at 66 Plain Street, Taunton, Massachusetts. This is where he raised his family and created a foundation for the rest of his family.
The love for his family can not be captured by any words on this earth. Antonio loved to be surrounded by children, family, and friends. He also had a passion for music, the outdoors, and animals. From raising pigeons in the backyard to turning his grapes into wine, Antonio lived a fulfilling life.
With his one of a kind sense of humor, Antonio was able to capture your heart within minutes. His laughter and love will live in our hearts forever!
Calling hours will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, on Wednesday August 10th from 5 - 9 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
