Winfield W. Scott, 80, of Tucson, AZ, died Friday August 5, 2016 in the Carondelet Hospice in Tucson, AZ. He was born in Portsmouth, NH on August 1, 1936, a son of the late John and Agnes (Simister) Scott. He had been a resident of Tucson for the past several years, formerly living in Derry, NH. He was a US Navy veteran. Winfield had a long career as Operations Manager at Consolidated Freightways where he retired in 1991.
He is survived by his son, Richard W. Scott and his wife Roma of Highland, CA; three grandchildren, Lauren Nicole Scott, Cameron Arthur, and Meghan Arthur; as well as one niece, Cynthia Stevens.
A graveside service was held on Friday, August 12th at 1:00pm in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry Road, East Derry, NH. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
