Frances M. Fay, age 96 of Methuen passed away on August 4, 2016 at her late residence. Frances was born in P.E.I. on October 17, 1919 to late Beloni and Catherine (Gaudet) Gaudet. She was a former communicant of St. Monica’s Parish of Methuen. Frances was a former employee of Tucker Anthony Brokerage on Essex Street in Lawrence, Purity Supreme Supermarket in Lawrence, Arlington Trust Bank, and Camera Craft in Lawrence. Following her retirement, Frances moved with her late husband Charles to Port Charlotte, FL. Mrs. Fay was a former volunteer at the Holy Family Hospital Gift Shop and a member of the Methuen Senior Center where she enjoyed playing 45’s. She also enjoyed gardening.
Frances was the beloved wife of the late Charles Fay Sr. She was the devoted mother of Charles Fay Jr. of Methuen and the late Deborah Lefman. Mrs. Fay was the loving grandmother of Ryan Fay, Eric Fay, Kevin Fay, Sarah Lefman, and Michael Lefman.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery of Methuen.
