Paul Edward Kemper, 79, of Alexandria, died Aug. 7, 2016 at Community Hospital after an extended illness.
Paul was born May 28, 1937 in Paris, Ill., to John Edward and Eveline Della (Nesler) Kemper and graduated from Anderson High School in 1956.
Paul worked production at Delco Remy Division of General Motors, retired in 1999. He was an antique collector and enjoyed decorating.
He is survived by his sister, Nettie Simpson, brother, Riley (Teresa) Kemper; nieces and nephews: Edwina (Doug) Cook, Alan (Cindi) Clay, Vickie Rogers, Ruth Ann Anderson, Rebecca Tucker, Tom (Twila) Simpson and Shawn Simpson and many great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Rose Ellen Tucker and Juanita Mae Colvin, brothers -in-law, James Michael Colvin and Carl Edward Simpson.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Grandview, Illinois on Wednesday afternoon.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Heart or American Lung Association.
