Francis X. Bresnahan of Medford died on Sunday, August 7, at Wingate of Melrose. Born and raised in Cambridge, he was the son of the late James L. and Margaret (O'Driscoll) Bresnahan. Francis proudly served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was employed as an accountant and lived in Somerville for several years before settling in Medford over 50 years ago.
Francis was the beloved husband of Sallyann (Gallery) Bresnahan, and the devoted father of Patricia Millington and her husband Layne of Medford, and the late Kevin Bresnahan. He was the loving grandfather of Erik and Ryan Millington, and the cherished brother of Gene Bresnahan and his wife Joanne of Norwood, the late James Bresnahan and his wife Jeannette, and the late Peggy Scofield and her husband Herb. Francis is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, on Friday, Aug. 12 at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted
