Obituary

SOUTH HADLEY – Marion M. Ittner, 96, a longtime resident of Lyman Street in South Hadley, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, August 7, 2016. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born at home in South Hadley on September 27, 1919, a beloved daughter of the late Paul Richard Ittner and Anna (Paulke) Ittner. She was raised and schooled in South Hadley and lived in South Hadley for most of her life. She later lived at the Arbors in Chicopee before going to the Holyoke Healthcare Center. She was employed at the former F. W. Sickles Company in Chicopee and later at Dennison National in Holyoke. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Holyoke and a member of the South Hadley Senior Center. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by twin baby siblings along with her six loving brothers, Adolph, Walter, Robert, George, Elmer and Howard Ittner; and her two loving sisters, Lillian Higgins and Arline Stepno. She will be sadly missed by her family, her many friends and her loving caregivers at the Holyoke Healthcare Center who were so good to her over the past few years. She leaves her loving sister, Margaret Hopkins of Poway, CA; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Ittner and Paulkie families. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Village Cemetery, Spring Street, South Hadley Falls, MA 01075.
