Robert (“Bobby”) A. Wilson Jr., 57, passed away on August 2, 2016 at his home where he enjoyed the company of his friends and those who took loving care of him for many years. He was born in New Bedford on May 17, 1959.
Bobby loved people and they loved him. His smile and laugh were infectious. He loved magazines, van rides, vacationing, people watching, milk, Cheez-Its, and Alvin and the Chipmunks. Always on alert to enjoy the unexpected, Bobby relished in sharing a laugh or watching a humorous event.
We are grateful to the many people who lovingly cared for Bobby at Monson Developmental Center, Seven Hills, his doctors, the Department of Developmental Services, St. Vincent’s Hospital and the staff and volunteers at Worcester VNA Hospice. Most especially, we are thankful to the staff at Hudson Street who provided him a safe and loving home and community for almost 24 years.
In lieu of flowers, please call or visit a friend in need; thank those who care for a disabled or vulnerable person and really enjoy your next meal.
A Graveside Service will be on Thursday, August 11 at 10:30 AM at the Mausoleum Chapel of St. Johns Cemetery, 260 Cambridge St., Worcester. A memorial service will follow at 8 Hudson St., Worcester. Funeral arrangements are under the care of CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester.
