Claude Eugene Fridley, 88, Anderson died August 6, 2016 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
Claude was born April 23, 1928 in Middletown to Lloyd and Janie May (Rogers) Fridley.
He served in the United States Army as Sgt. First Class in the Korean War.
He worked production at Westinghouse ABB for 40 years before retiring in 1990.
He was a 40 year member of the Eastview Church of the Nazarene. He loved the choir and enjoyed picking up the kids on the church bus. He worked at the Herald-Bulletin and was an avid baseball fan.
Survivors include his three sons, Jason Fridley (Brian Leach) of Anderson; James (Shawn) Fridley of Middletown, Jeffery (Karla) Fridley of Noblesville, two brothers, Joe (Ella May) Fridley of Markleville and Lewis Fridley of Middletown; eleven grandchildren, Constance, DeLayne, Susie, Jimmy, Cortney, Eric, Destiny, Shannon, Trina, A.J. and Jasmine; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth I. Fridley on October 6, 2010; five brothers, Verle, Robert, Alvin, Max and Steven Fridley; sister, Virginia Sample; great grandson, Daniel W. Slonaker, III.
Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. on Thursday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Tom Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 P.M.
