Obituary


Ralph Leon Howes, 81 of Medway, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the Blaire House in Milford, Ma. He is the beloved husband of Lena E. (Fazzi) Howes for over 40 years.

Born on March 1, 1935 in Gould, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Earl and Laura (Lemons) Howes. Ralph Grew up in Millis and graduated from Millis High School. After high school Ralph enlisted in the Navy and proudly served during the Korean War. After his discharge from the Navy in 1960, Ralph settled down in Medway and started his own company, Ralph Howes Trucking.

Ralph was a member of the Medway VFW and one of his favorite passions was racing cars. He was an avid dog lover and always seen in his truck with his Boxer dog by his side.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Linda Davis and her husband Ross Davis of Winder, GA., Michael Carbary, and the late James Carbary. Including his two children Ralph Jr. and Debbie Howes. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Meredith, Stacey, Nicole, Michael, and Christine Carbary. Along with Katie Benner, her husband Josh Benner, and James Carbary wife Nicole. His great-grandchildren Zachary, Kessa, and Max Benner, Brad Davis, Faith, Ethan, and Aiden Brockman, and Jordane and Liliana Carbary. Ralph is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Debra Carbary of Hopedale, MA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, August 13 from 9:00 -11:00am followed by a funeral service at 11:00am in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street, Medway. Interment will take place in Oakland Cemetery, Medway.
