Laconia----Patricia Y. (Paquette) Scribner 77, passed away on August 3, 2016 with her children by her side, after her long fight with scleroderma & heart disease.
Pat was born March 22, 1939 in Laconia, daughter to the late Gerard A. and Elizabeth F. (Gonyer) Paquette. Her father owned and operated Paquette Sporting Goods for over 60 years in Laconia. Pat owned and operated The Griddle restaurant in Tilton with her husband Ernest "Sam” for many years together.
Her strong will to live, faith in God, along with the love and prayers of her family, many friends and caregivers carried her through.Even with her struggles with illness she would always find time for her children and many grandchildren with love and support.
Pat will always be known for her conversations with family, friends, co-workers and even strangers and won the hearts and trust of many. Her constant smile, laughter and love for life will never be forgotten. She enjoyed outdoor activities including snowmobiling, swimming and waterskiing which she was 2 time women's champion with The Paugus Bay Ski Kings club.
Patricia is survived by her four sons, Gregory J Paradise and his wife, Cathy, Michael M Paradise and his wife, Brenda, John J. Paradise and his wife, Cindy and Edward N Scribner; a daughter, Deborah E. (Paradise) Saja and her husband, Robert; Grandchildren, Jessica and her husband, Curtis Beane, Scott Richard and his wife, Crystle Perry, Lauren Baron, Lauren Richard and her husband, Nate Anderson, Allison E. Saja, Ryan W. Saja and his wife, Kristyna, Nathan VanAalst, Brendon Paradise and Aden Scribner; eight great-grandchildren, Addison & Delaney Beane, Allie Baron, Abby and Mason Richard, Ayden, Kira and Lorelei Perry.In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband Ernest "Sam" E. Scribner and her son Timothy E. Scribner.
Calling hours will be Monday, August 8, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 11:30am at Saint Andre Bessette - Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia.
Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia in the family lot.
