Doris Y. (Cote) Botelho, 93, of Rumford, ME formerly of New Bedford died August 1, 2016 at Rumford Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late William Botelho.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Theodore A. and Ireneda (Breault) Cote, she lived in New Bedford all of her life before moving to Rumford, Maine 4 years ago.
She was formerly employed as a tax examiner with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for many years until her retirement.
She received her Associates Degree in Business Administration from Fisher Junior College.
Survivors include 2 sons, David Botelho of Rumford, ME and Robert Botelho of Fairhaven; 4 grandchildren, Heidi Barbosa, David Botelho, Rachel Botelho and her fiancé Justin Barboza and Rebecca Botelho; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Doreen Barbosa and the grandmother of the late Tracey Anne Freitas.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday, August 8th at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Fairhaven at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, August 7th from 3-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Coast Community Church, P.O. Box 727 Fairhaven, MA 02719.
