Obituary

HAMPSTEAD, NH: John D. Hosker, 71, died on July 23, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Patricia (Caruso) Hosker with whom he shared 31 years of marriage.

John was born on October 16, 1944 and was the son of the late Arthur and Mildred (King) Hosker. John enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War on December 26, 1968 and was honorably discharged on January 29, 1971.

John was employed by the State of Massachusetts Division of Employment for many years until his retirement in 2002 and was the Vice President of NAGE Local 282. He was a man who loved to tinker around his house and do yardwork but he especially loved to travel with his family and relished many memories from their trips.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his three children, Michael Hosker of Salisbury, Brian Hosker of Smyrna, Georgia and Jennifer Casey of Hampstead, NH; two grandsons, Maxwell and Brandon.

Visiting hours for John will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 52 Salem Street, Bradford from 6 p.m. – 8.p.m Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in John’s memory to the Rockingham VNA & Hospice, 137 Epping Rd, Exeter, NH 03833.
