Dorothy A. (Smith) Brinkley Robinette, 84, of Anderson died August 1, 2016 at Miller's Merry Manor in Chesterfield after a brief illness..
Dorothy was born September 7, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri to Gilbert and Nellie (Fore) Smith, lived most of her life in the Anderson area.
She worked in the Deli at Marsh Bakery and attended Gospel Light Chapel.
She attended Gospel Light Chapel. She loved to read, crochet and spend time with her family.
She is survived by her five children, Judith (Jim) Anthony of Anderson, Mona L. (Randy) Corbin of Tennessee, Gary L. (Sherrie) Brinkley of Leesburg, Georgia, James W. Brinkley of Los Angeles, CA, Harold E. (Char) Brinkley of Anderson; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; four siblings, Vernon Smith, Alice Elms, Carolyn Johnson and John Profit and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Joe Smith, Louise Moreland, Nellie Ireland and Nancy Cook.
Private family funeral services will be held at a later date.
Cremation was chosen.
