Mary E. (Kane) Bowman, a 36 year resident of Everett and former longtime resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 75 years old.
Mary was born in Boston on June 13, 1941, a daughter of the late Joseph Kane and Theresa (Harrigan) Kane. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School. Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed the quality time she spent with her husband and children and the special moments she shared with her four grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling to Foxwoods with family and friends, gardening and especially rooting for the New England Patriots.
Mary is the beloved wife of the late Frank R. Bowman. She is the devoted mother of Lee Bowman, William Bowman, Sean Bowman, Frank R. Bowman Jr. and Danielle Bowman-Sousa and her husband Marshall. She is the loving Nanny to Michael, Andrew, Alicia and Samantha. She is the beloved sister of Joseph Kane and his wife Pat, William Kane and his wife Linda, Theresa Daly and her late husband Bill, Marjorie McDonald and the late Edward Kane, Robert Kane and his surviving wife Margaret and Betty Searcy. She is the beloved sister-in-law of Edward and Colleen Bowman. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mary's Funeral Service on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 10 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 2 to 6 P.M. in the funeral home.
