Eileen T. Egan, 78, of New Bedford died Friday July 22, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John and Sophia (Sweeney) Egan, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Miss Egan was formerly employed by the Star Store for many years until its closing.
She enjoyed knitting.
Survivors include a sister, Helen Squillacioti of Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was the sister of the late Mary E. Leahy.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday July 30, 2005 at 9 AM in St. Mary's Church, Dartmouth. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted.
