Obituary

FRAMINGHAM: Isa-Maria (Stolp) Shoolman, age 86, passed away peacefully at her longtime Framingham home on July 20, 2016. She was the devoted wife of David Shoolman who died in January.

Born in Greifswald, Germany, and raised in Hungary and Italy, Isa-Maria had survived the indignities of war and thrived as a successful model and actress in Europe. She met David in Italy while he was serving in the United States Navy. While first captivated by her stunning appearance, he was very quickly taken by her beautiful vibrant personality. The love they shared at their marriage in 1955 grew ever stronger throughout the next 60 years.

The Shoolmans lived in Brighton and Newton prior to settling in Framingham in 1976. Isa-Maria came into her own as an interior designer in the MetroWest area, and, at home, the consummate hostess for David’s business associates and dear friends alike. She and David loved animals, particularly dogs, and they shared their homes with a number of Dachshunds and Vizslas through the years. Upon David’s retirement, the couple spent more time at their homes in Falmouth and Naples, FL.
Isa-Maria will be most remembered for her radiant charm, devotion to friends, and her genuine warmth and generosity.

A Memorial Celebration of the lives of David and Isa-Maria Shoolman will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Tuesday, August 23rd at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends are encouraged to attend.

Donations may be made in Isa-Maria’s memory to the Framingham Animal Hospital, Attn: Dr. Susan Rabaut, 1415 Edgell Road, Framingham, MA 01701.
