Mr. William T. Reid, of Taunton, died Tuesday, August 2 in the Gold Living Center – Oak Hill, Middleboro, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of the late Charlotte P. (Anderson) Reid. He was born 82 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late J. William and Margaret (Holtham) Reid. He was educated in Taunton, and had been a city resident for most of his life. Prior to his retirement, William had been employed as a florist for the former Olson’s Flower Shop in Taunton for over 30 years. He was a member of the North Eastern Aviculture Society and was a Past Master of the Grange. He enjoyed beekeeping, animals, and nature.
He leaves: 1 son: Thomas W. Reid and his significant other, Wendy Corkren of Halifax; 1 grandson: Dylan T. Reid of Halifax, and several nieces and nephews. William was also the brother of the late Barbara Griffin and Mary Edwards.
Visiting Hours will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Saturday, August 6 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
