David Leroy Vallance, 82, of Anderson died July 31, 2016 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after an extended illness.
David was born, July 13, 1934 Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of James and Mable Vallance.
He was a machinist for General Motors 30 years before retiring in 1996.
He served in the United States Navy.
He was a member of Cornerstone Community Church
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Cooper) Vallance of Anderson whom he married June 28, 2003 in Portsmouth, OH; ten children, Steven (Kim) Vallance, Denise ( Randy) Jones, Scott Vallance, Jason (Staci) Vallance, Darren Vallance, Kimberly (David) Lawless, Tammi (Jerry) Dodds, Mindy (Jeff) Kaskey, Angie (Jeff) Ratcliff, Kelly (Brian) Ratcliff; two brothers, John (Elizabeth) Vallance and Jim Vallance; 19 grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Tyler, David, Josh, Jonah, Cooper, Kenna, Tom, Chad, Brittany, Chase, Chelsey, Elisha, Cody, Taylor, Mindy, Kurt and Liz; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet (Cooper) Vallance in 2002, three brothers, Robert, Donald, and George Thomas Vallance.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11 A.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Clyde Denny and Randy Murphy officiating.
Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
