Raymond Roy, 79, of Wildwood Avenue, Providence, died Monday, August 1, 2016 at Golden Crest Nursing Center of North Providence. He was the husband of the late Carolyn (Leighton) Roy.
Born in Providence, he was the last living child of the late Joseph and Antoinette Arsenault. He had lived in Providence for seventy nine years.
He was toolmaker/machinist for Central Tool in Cranston before retiring. He is survived by his children: Raymond A. Roy of Cranston, Debra Nichols of Warwick, Raymond Roy of Sciutate, Michelle Oliviera of Providence and his six grandchildren: Arielle, Joseph R. and Madison R. Roy, Alexa A. Nichols, Joao III, and Alexander M. Oliviera.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm. Burial in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
