In Taunton, July 30, 2016 Jack Andrus loving and devoted husband of Dolores (Luberto) Andrus died peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 78. Born in Auburn, NY, Jack was the son of the late Alfred and Georgina Andrus. Jack served in the US Army from 1954-1957. He was a retired foreman for the Teamsters Union. Jack enjoyed fishing with his cane pole for sunfish, gardening and taking care of his fountain, sitting in the sun with his day old coffee and listing to Elvis and Johnny Cash. He loved watching Sci-Fi and SpongeBob with his great grandsons and Thursday night wrestling. He enjoyed cracking jokes with his family and grandkids. He would sit on the floor and massage his best fur buddy Neeko and say “oh my sakes”. After 58 years he made sure his wife got flowers and the newspaper regularly and he still wooed her as though they were newlyweds. Jack was the father of Michael Andrus and his wife Joanne of NJ, Richard Andrus and his wife Cathy, Jonny Andrus and Linda Wolfe of NJ and Karen Simonetti and her husband Ralph of Florida. Grandfather of seven, great grandfather of six and great great grandfather of one. He also leaves his grand fur babies Neeko, Harley, Susie Q, Tweety, Sassy and Snowball. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton on Wednesday from 5-8 PM followed by a service at 8 PM. Interment will be private.
