William Rushworth, III, 59, of Shore Drive, Johnston, died Friday, July 29, 2016 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
Born in Providence, he was a son of William Rushworth, Jr. of Johnston and the late Ellen (Hanosky) Rushworth. He was a lifelong resident of Johnston. He had worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for Metals Recycling for 23 years before retiring. Bill enjoyed boating, fishing and traveling to warm places with his cousins and friends.
Besides his father, he is survived by his siblings: Susan Jutras and her husband, Joseph Jutras of Scituate, Deborah Rushworth of Johnston, James Rushworth and his fiance, Billie Schaeffer of Glocester and his nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Todd Rushworth.
A Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday, August 5, 2016 at 11am in Highland Memorial Park in Johnston. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to The Comprehensive Cancer Center at Miriam Hospital.
