Judith Lynn "Judy" (Paschal) Whitaker, 72, of Anderson, died peacefully surrounded by her family Thursday morning July 28, 2016 at IU Methodist Hospital Indianapolis.
She was born in Anderson, daughter of Joseph and Sarah (Cox) Paschal on August 20, 1943.
She was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and servant of the Lord Jesus. She attended Crossroads United Methodist Church in Anderson. She was active all her life in church ministries of every kind.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Jay Whitaker of Anderson, whom she married December 5, 1959; her mother, Sarah Paschal; three children, Jay (Marianne) Whitaker, Connie (Douglas) Weston; Candi (Joe) Barcus; nine grandchildren, Hannah Whitaker, Ellie Whitaker, Sean (Carrie Chaffins) Weston, Joshua Weston, Matthew Henderson, Mitchell (MaShayla Whittle) Henderson, Michael (Emily Shelton) Henderson, Joey (Suzanne) Barcus and Jonathan Barcus; six great grandchildren, Tyler, Gracie, Makenna, Kastiel, Arizona and Morrissey; three sisters, Karen (Jim) Liebhardt, Cindy (Jay) Pelfrey, Marcia (Jack) Stanley, brother, Michael (Kaleaia) Paschal; sisters-in-law, Nora (William) Crawford, Bettye Kayzer, Kathy Stone, brothers-in-law, Benny Whitaker and James Whitaker, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by father, Joseph Paschal, brother, Randy Paschal, grandson, Benjamin Weston, mother-in-law, Cora Whitaker, father-in-law, James Harvey Whitaker and brothers-in-law, Jack Whitaker and Robert Whitaker.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Crossroads United Methodist Church with Pastor John Hackney officiating with burial at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Crossroads United Methodist Church.
Memorial contributions may be given to Crossroads United Methodist Church Children's Ministry.
