Obituary

Albert W. Procopio of Medford died on Friday, July 29, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Born in Revere, he was the son of the late Andrew and Catherine (Capano) Procopio. A veteran of World War II, Al participated in the battle of Normandy and was a proud recipient of the Purple Heart. He was also a past Grand Knight Medford Council 141 Knights of Columbus.

Al was the beloved husband of the late Helen (Harrigan) Procopio, and the devoted father of Robert Procopio and his wife Kathleen of Medford, and William Procopio and his wife Michele of Derry, NH. He was the loving grandfather of Kathryn Procopio Maloney of Milford, Robert G. Procopio of Cary, NC, Julie Procopio of Boston, and the loving great grandfather of Amelia Maloney. He is also survived by Mathew Maloney of Milford and Brittney Procopio of Cary, NC. Al was the cherished brother of Mavourneen Procopio, Gloria Torre, Andrew Procopio, and the late Jean Angelone, Mary Alvino, Anthony, John, Joseph and Domenic Procopio.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Tuesday, August 2 at 8:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday, August 1 from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
