WAREHAM – Mary Stevens of Wareham died at the Tremont Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center on July 28, 2016.
She was 85.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late James and Pauline (Turtulli) Stevens.
A graduate of Taunton High School, she was also a graduate of the Stenotype Institute of Boston.
She also had attended Bryant College.
Prior to her retirement from the Abington Mutual Insurance Company in Brockton, she worked for the L.G. Balfour Company in Attleboro.
Mary was a member of the Saint George Albanian Orthodox Church in South Boston, and was a member of their choir.
She also sang with the Taunton Civic Chorus and the Bristol Plymouth Community Chorus.
Mary enjoyed walking, cooking, reading, and gardening.
Survivors include a niece, Debra Mancini and her husband Paul of Assonet, and a nephew, James Stevens and his wife Cheryl of West Wareham.
She was also the sister of the late Peter Stevens.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, August 3rd at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at Mayflower Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 2nd from 4 to 7 p.m.
