Ann Marie Long, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following an extended illness. She was 58 years old.
Ann Marie was born in Boston on June 17, 1958, a daughter of the late Howard Long and Margaret (Mullan) Kirk. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated at St. Francis De Sales Parochial School and the Boston Public School system. Ann Marie was a homemaker who enjoyed sipping tea and caring for her cats, but most of all she enjoyed all the special moments caring for her grandchildren.
Ann Marie is the devoted mother of Kerry Ortiz-Fournier and her husband William and Michael Ortiz and his wife Nicole. She is the loving Nana Ann to Devin, William, Alia, Michael Jr., Shawn, April and Domenic. She is the beloved sister of Howie Long and his wife Diane and aunt to Christopher, Kyle and Howie Long Jr. She is also survived by her loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ann Marie's visiting hours on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 4 to 8 P.M. with her Funeral Service at 7:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial is private.
