EAST BROOKFIELD: Elvera (Neri) Gigante, 104, of Main Street died July 21 in Holden Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Her husband Domenic Gigante died in 1949. She leaves a son Domenic J. Gigante and his companion Della Doe of Holden, three grandchildren; Steven Gigante, Karen Gregoire & Christine Bercume, five great-grandchildren; Nicholas, Tyler, Avianna, Jayla & Tristan. She was predeceased by a sister Frances Fargnoli.
Mrs. Gigante was born in Barre, daughter of John and Philomena (Reiale) Neri. She was an inspector for 20 years at Brookfield Athletic Shoe Co. in East Brookfield retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
Funeral service and burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham are private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to D.B.S.A.
