Charles E. Targee, 50, of Manchester, NH passed away suddenly, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Elliot Hospital of Manchester. Mr. Targee was born August 29, 1965 in Everett, MA and was a son of the late Charles E. Targee and Barbara (Marino) St. Laurent/LeBlond. He was raised in Everett and Chelsea, MA and moved to NH when he was 10. He resided in southern NH most of his life, living in Chester and Raymond, NH for many years, Derry, NH for 15 years and Nashua, NH for five years, prior to relocating to Manchester.
Mr. Targee was employed as the Lot Manager for Auto Fair Hyundai of Manchester for the past two years and previously held the position of Lot Supervisor with Auto Auction of New England in Londonderry for 11 years. He was a longtime member of AA in Nashua/Pelham/Windham and Manchester and was very proud of his 15 years of sobriety. He loved riding his Harley and NASCAR racing. He will forever be remembered for his devotion to his beloved five grandchildren.
Members of the family include his loving wife of 27 years, Beth Targee; his daughter Jean Targee; his two sons, Tommy and Billy Targee; his five grandchildren, Damion and Emily Taschereau and Collin, Evan and Aubree Targee; his sister, Donna Lupo; two brothers, Wally and Keith St. Laurent; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Prior to cremation, calling hours were held Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 1 pm to 5 pm, at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the funeral home to help defray costs for the family.
