FALL RIVER… Lauretta G. (Rousseau) Fortier, 100 of Fall River passed away Tuesday July 26, 2016 at Southpointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.
She was the loving wife of the late Henry O. Fortier.
Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Ovide and Eva (Jobin) Rousseau and had lived in Fall River most of her life.
She was employed as a quality control person for Frito-Lay Manufacturing in Fall River, retiring in 1973. Lauretta was an original member of the Golden Girls at Dunkin Donuts, South Main Street Fall River.
Mrs. Fortier was a communicant of the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption.
Survivors include 3 Sons: Roger H. Fortier and his wife Geri of Westport, Ronald P. Fortier and his wife Nancy of Daytona FL, and Jean N. Fortier and his wife Patricia of Fall River, a Daughter: Diane St. Amour and her husband David of Charlestown RI, a Sister: Theresa Loiselle of Fall River, 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Normand Rousseau, Henriette Rousseau, Germaine Desrochers.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday at 9AM from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Second Street, Fall River. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
