Obituary

Albert J. Spinosa, 92, of Burlington, passed away on July 26, 2016. He was the beloved husband of the late Clara (Capone) Spinosa. Born and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Augustino and Eleanora Spinosa.

A U.S. Army Artillery Veteran during WWII, Mr. Spinosa was a truck driver with McLean Trucking. In his spare time, he enjoyed crafting wooden lawn and garden ornaments. A wonderful cook, Al also liked shopping at Market Basket, watching WWII documentaries, and General Patton was his idol. He also loved his two dogs. His son remembers him as a family man who was dedicated to his wife and family.

Mr. Spinosa leaves behind his son, Albert J. Spinosa, Jr. of Burlington. He was also the dear brother of Tony Spinosa of FL and the late Frank, Mary, Tina, Alfred and Johnny Spinosa, and is further survived by many cousins. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather at the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Friday, July 29 from 11 AM – 12 noon, followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 12 noon. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester. Late Veteran U.S. Army WWII. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Lung Association, Donation Processing Center, PO Box 7000, Albert Lea, MN 56007-8001.
