Carlos M. Santos, of Woburn passed away suddenly, July 25, 2016, at the Lowell General Hospital. He was 47 years of age. Born in Christiana, South Africa he was the beloved son of Manuela (Pinto) and the late Gabriel Santos.
Carlos was raised and educated in Woburn graduating with the Woburn Memorial High School class of 1987.
He owned and operated the Santos Express Transportation Company for several years. He loved motorcycles and was a member of the Portuguese American Road Riders Motorcycle Group currently serving as the clubs Sargeant of Arms. For the past three years he also served as the president of the Our Lady of the Mountain Feast. He was a member of the Portuguese American Club and the Woburn City Club.
In addition to his beloved mother, Carlos is survived by his sisters; Maria Smith and her husband Robert of Tewksbury, and Fatima Picanso and her husband David of Pelham, NH. He was the cherished uncle of Ashley and Nicole Smith, Alexis and Dylan Silvestri. He is also survived by many loving extended family members and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Saturday, July 30th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home will be held on Friday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
