Richard Eza Lopez, 47, of Ventura, went to be with his Comforter and LORD Jesus Christ on July 26th, 2016. He was born October 16, 1968, in Santa Barbara.
Richard grew up in Ventura since the age of 3. He graduated from Ventura High School. Richard loved his family and loved the Lord. He was an amazing husband a loving father, a hard working man, a great coach and friend. He was also looked up to as a father figure to so many, a guy that you can count on to be there when you felt no one else was and take you in like family.
He is survived by his wife Raquel, daughter Malyssa, sons Richard and Niko, and granddaughter Tatiana. He is also survived by his mother Suzan, in-laws Santos and Rebecca, brothers John and Leonard, and sister Sarah, as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who loved him.
We thank God for the peace Richard has obtained in his passing from this place to his eternal rest. As we are left to carry on, we thank all of you who have expressed, in many ways, your love and support for our family.
A Celebration of Richard’s life will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 12:00 am at The River Community Church, 889 E. Santa Clara Street, Ventura, with Pastor Jim Duran officiating. A Prayer service will be held on Friday evening at 6:00 pm at the River Community Church as well. Flowers can be sent to 859 E. Santa Clara Street, Ventura.
