CHICOPEE – Anne D. Roy, 59, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, July 24, 2016. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on May 29, 1957, a beloved daughter of Albert H. and Jeannette C. (Piquette) Roy of Aldenville. She was raised in Aldenville, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and was a lifelong resident of Aldenville. She was a lunch monitor in the Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Springfield. She was a well-known newspaper delivery person for the Springfield Republican. Besides her parents, she leaves her two loving children, Angela J. Bishop and her husband, Michael, of Belchertown and Michael D. Roy of Chicopee; her two cherished grandchildren, Brianna A. Bishop and Michael A. Bishop, both of Belchertown; her two dear brothers and two dear sisters, David Roy and his wife, Malinda, of Chicopee, Louise Champagne of Chicopee, Joan Roy and her companion, Robert Was, of Indian Orchard and Paul Roy and his wife, Arpa, of Pearland, TX; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and extended members of the Roy and Piquette families. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside funeral service on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
