SPRINGFIELD – Barbara A. (Miles) Lapointe, 61, of the East Forest Park section of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Monday, July 25, 2016. She passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by all the memories that she loved and cherished. She was born in Springfield on January 29, 1955, a beloved daughter of the late Vena R. (Miles) Dickerman. She was raised in Springfield, graduated from the High School of Commerce in Springfield and lived most of her life in Springfield. She was employed for nearly 19 years as the Director of First Impressions at Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. in Holyoke. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church in Springfield. Most of all, she was a woman who cherished her family and her many friends. She leaves her two loving children, Leslie A. Cirelli and her partner, Matthew Nolan, of Springfield and J. P. Lapointe and his wife, Veronica, of Reading, MA; her five cherished grandchildren, Olivia Nolan, Dominic Cirelli, Kadence Cirelli, Aubree Godard and Owen Nolan; her dear former husband and best friend, Rejean L. Lapointe of Somers, CT; her two dear brothers, Gary Miles, Sr. and his wife, Sylveen, of Naples, FL and Jay Dinner and his wife, Retta, of Fayetteville, NC; her dear aunt, Betty Dubay of Springfield; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Lapointe and Miles families. Her funeral will be held on Friday morning, July 29, 2016 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107, (funeral home will open at 8 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 219 Plumtree Road, Springfield, MA 01118. Her burial will follow the Mass at Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker Street, Springfield, MA 01129. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Her family has requested that memorial donations be made in her memory to Susan G.
