Obituary

Patricia Anne Lilly, 64

SACO- Patricia Anne Lilly, 64, died peacefully in her sleep after a valiantly fought battle with ALS on July 24, 2016. She was born in Exeter, NH, the daughter of the late Arthur M. Lilly and Helen E. Bradford. She grew up in Berwick, ME, and was in the first graduating class of Noble High School, 1970. Pat married Timothy Leavitt in 1972 and together they raised two daughters, Jennifer and Cara.
Pat was a strange and crazy lady… An adventurer and a drama seeker and someone who loved to live just past the edge of the box. She loved music and theatre, and played piano at many family events, church services, and theatrical productions. Pat was one of the founding members, and served on the board of directors for many years, of the Schoolhouse Arts Center at Sebago Lake. She even performed for a time with a modern dance troupe!
Pat celebrated her 50th birthday by getting her Bachelor’s Degree in English at University of Southern Maine. She began working with companies to recruit nurses, then went into medical transcription. She also went to Busan, South Korea, for a year, at the age of 57 to teach English as a Second Language. She lived in Saco at the end of her life and was active for a few years at the Saco Bay Rotary.
She is survived by her two daughters Jenn Adams (husband Anthony) and Cara Leavitt; her mother; a sister Mary; brothers Bruce and Robert; grandchildren Anthony, Charlotte, and Alanah; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 31st, at 1pm, at Berwick United Methodist Church, 37 School Street, Berwick, ME.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service, Buxton. Online condolence messages can be submitted at the funeral home's website, www.mainefuneral.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Schoolhouse Arts Center, 16 Richville Rd, Standish, ME 04084, or to the Saco Bay Rotary Foundation, PO Box 778, Saco, ME, 04072.
