Obituary

Richard Rotondo, 85, of Pascoag, died Monday, July 25, 2016 at the RI Veterans’ Home in Bristol. He was the devoted husband of Rita (Mimande) Rotondo and the late Carolyn (Moore) Rotondo.

Born Providence, he was a son of Aggrippino and Anna (Fina) Rotondo. He was a founder of the Rotondo Brothers Auto Body Shop, where he worked for many years before retiring. He was a faithful member of the former UTC club. He served in the US Navy during Korea.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Jeffrey Rotondo and his wife, Donna of Foster. He is also survived by his stepchildren: Deborah Fleming and her husband, Robert of Johnston, Matthew Austin of Pascoag, Michael Austin of Smithfield, 14 grandchildren, including Jordan and Eric Rotondo, many great grandchildren and his brother, Thomas Rotondo of Johnston. He is predeceased by his brother Alfred Rotondo.

Funeral will be held Friday, July 29, 2016 at 8am from ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, Johnston. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visitation Thursday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Our Lady of Grace Church, 2 Lafayette Street, Johnston, RI 02919.
