Lucien P. Lafrance, 88, of Berlin, NH passed away on Sunday morning July 24, 2016 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, NH. He was born in Berlin, NH on August 24, 1927 a son of Alphonse and Alma (Montminy) Lafrance and was a lifelong resident. He was a US Army Air Corps Veteran. Prior to his retirement in 1990, he was employed by Brown Company, James River Corporation and Crown Vantage Corporation. He had been a member of St. Joseph Church and now Good Shepherd Parish. Lucien enjoyed cross country skiing, carpentry, gardening and keeping busy.
Members of the family include his wife of 66 years, Jacqueline (Belanger) Lafrance of Berlin, NH; 2 sons Robert Lafrance and wife Paulette of Berlin, NH and Ronald Lafrance his wife Mary of Hampstead, NH; 4 daughters Elaine Gamache and husband Raymond of Berlin, NH, Nancy Hoarn and husband Steven of Tampa, FL, Joanne Rano and husband Timothy of Rollinsford, NH and Denise Lafrance and husband Erik Froburg of Nottingham, NH; 9 grandchildren Brian and Scott Lafrance, Elizabeth Henderson, David and Jonathan Gamache, Katherine Hoarn, Gregory and Jeffrey Rano and Quinn Froburg; 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Leo Lafrance of Laconia, NH and Robert Lafrance of Berlin, NH; 1 sister Therese Lafrance of Berlin, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son Michael Lafrance, a grandson Steven Hoarn, 5 brothers and 7 sisters.
SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 28, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow in St. Kieran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Mother Marie Rivier Food Pantry, 153 Grafton St., Berlin, NH 03570.
