Obituary

BUXTON- Marilyn A. Geyer, age 82, passed away on July 23, 2016, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
She was born on Sept. 5, 1933, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Pearl (Crocker) Patnaude.
She was a graduate of Scarborough High School.
Marilyn was employed at New England Telephone and Hannaford Bros. until she married and moved to Pine Point in Scarborough.
She was a member of the Blue Point Congregational Church and sang in the choir for many years. After her retirement, she lived in Buxton and Florida.
Marilyn was an excellent cook and loved to make pies and cookies as well as delicious homemade stews and fish chowder.
She enjoyed camping with her family and grandchildren.
Besides spending time with her grandchildren, Marilyn loved to garden, journal, do the daily crossword puzzle and feed the birds.
She is predeceased by her siblings- Wilfred Patnaude, Phyllis Patnaude, and June Johnson.
Marilyn is survived by her husband- Carl B. Geyer; children- Timothy Geyer and his fiance fiance Kathy of Buxton and Terry Geyer of Buxton; a sister- Lois Skillings of Falmouth; grandchildren- Corey and Emily Geyer; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, July 26 from 5-7 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt.22) in Buxton. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 AM at South Buxton (Tory Hill) Cemetery. Online condolence messages can be submitted at www.mainefuneral.com
