Linda Diane (Lawson) Stevens, 65 of Anderson died on July 22, 2016 at Community Hospital in Anderson following a 1-year illness.
She was born on October 20, 1950 in Anderson to David R. and Betty (Moore) Lawson. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Ball State University.
She was employed as the Benefits Specialist for the City of Anderson for 35 years and retired on December 31, 2012.
She was the chairperson for 7 years with the Madison County Relay for Life; served on the INTERSECT board; She especially loved spending time with her family, enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, boating, and NASCAR races at Bristol.
She is survived by her fiancé', Steve Hagensieker; 11 children, Michelle (Paul) Schuyler, Donald (Jenni) Ferguson, Melody (Scott) Buckles, Melissa (Kevin Creamer) Pfleeger, Marcia (Mike) Birge, Doug (Sherry Clark) Stevens, James (Mary Burge) Stevens, Tonya (Kim) Fetty, Patty (Rob) Leathers, Kevin (Brittney White) Hagensieker, Brian (Stephanie George) Hagensieker; 19 grandchildren, Kristen Lopshire, Casey Bova, Ashley Snyder, Ellen Slain, Brad Stevens, Kyle Leathers, Chad Norris, Ryan Schuyler, Matt Norris, Courtney Yates, John Stevens, Chase Ferguson, Morgan Ferguson, Mason Buckles, Hayden Ferguson, Travis Burge, Dustin Burge, Malydia White, and Makynzie Hagensieker; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Rick (Vicki) Lawson, Mike (Vicky) Lawson, and Gary Lawson; 3 special friends, Renee, Shari, Dena, and the City Hall Gang; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Curtis "Leroy" Stevens; mother-in-law, Blanche Stevens, daughter-in-law, Pam Stevens, and a son-in-law, Rob Norris.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. The visitation will be held from 2:00pm- 6:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
