Jeanne A. Blanchette, age 85, passed away on July 20, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born on Oct 10, 1930 in Springfield to the late Edward and Verna (St Cyr) DeLoria. She was a communicant of the former Assumption parish in Chicopee. She retired in 1994 after working over 20 years as an office clerk for the former Ames Plating. Jeanne enjoyed playing bingo and cards very much. She leaves 3 daughters: Rae Brown and her husband Carlton of Springfield, with whom she made her home, Robin Blanchette-Gage and her husband Gary of Chicopee, and Renee Kolb and her husband Thomas of Sykesville, MD; 1 son Robert A. Blanchette and his wife Mary of Springfield; 2 brothers Jerry DeLoria of VA and Jack DeLoria and his wife Judy of Chicopee; 3 sisters: Anne Fleury of South Hadley, Marie Slowick and her husband Stanley of Chicopee and Frances DeLoria of Monson, also 5 grandchildren Stephanie Kolb, Caitlin Blanchette, Lauren Blanchette, Jason Brown and Bobby Blanchette. She was predeceased by her husband Robert V. Blanchette and 4 brothers Edward, Kenneth, Roland and Robert DeLoria. A funeral Service will be held on Mon July 25, 2016 at 8:45 AM from the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St. Chicopee with a Mass of Christian Liturgy at 10:00 AM at Assumption Church in Chicopee. Burial will follow at St Rose de Lima Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Sun July 24, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
