Florence M. (Saab) Hoehn age 85 of Haverhill, MA, died peacefully on Thursday at her home.
Florence was born in Methuen, MA, where she grew up and was educated, and graduated from the Edward F. Searles High School. She was a long time resident of Haverhill, MA.
Florence worked in the garment industry in greater Lawrence, serving as a seamstress for Esther’s Sportswear, the Lawrence Clothing Company, KGR and Workwear Uniforms. She was Floor Lady at Samuel Robert’s Manufacturing Center in Haverhill in the 1980’s and retired from Christina’s Bridal Shop of Andover. Florence’s faith was a source of strength and comfort. She was a long-time participant of Redeemer Lutheran Church and a member of St. Joseph’s Melkite Catholic Church, bringing Christian unity to her family. Florence lived to serve her family and loved them very much. Planting a garden fed her family and her soul. She loved animals and enjoyed oil painting, cooking, entertaining and the beach.
Florence was predeceased by her husband Bruce A. Hoehn, infant son Steven, and siblings, Lillian Keyes, and Frank “Mikey” Saab.
She is survived by her daughters: Rev. Rhonda Hoehn of New City, NY, Susan and her husband Stephen Wilson of Candia, NH, Son: Bruce and his wife Annette Hoehn of Haverhill, MA, Siblings: Albert Saab, John Saab, Helen Keyes, and Elizabeth Dragon all of Methuen, MA, Julia Saab, and Louella Saab of Atkinson, NH, Louis Saab of Derry, NH, and William Saab of Charleston, SC, Grandchildren: Kaylynn, Kasondra and Jordan, Several Nieces and Nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 26th at 11 AM at St. Joseph’s Melkite Catholic Church, Hampshire St, Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Haverhill, MA.
Friends and relative are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, July 25th from 3-7 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St, Methuen, MA.
