SOMERSET… Helena Y. (Danis) Smith, 97, of Fall River passed away July 19, 2016.
Born in New Bedford, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Maria (Chagnon) Danis and had lived in Fall River for most of her life.
Mrs. Smith had worked as a laborer at the Champion Paper Box Co. and High Point Paper Box Co. prior to her retirement. She enjoyed reading.
Survivors include 3 sons: Matthew Ozug of Florida, Joseph Ozug and his wife Julie of Somerset, & Richard Ozug, a daughter: Patricia Chagnon of Fall River, a brother: Raymond Danis of Brockton, 11 grandchildren , many great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Alma Senechal and Dolores Savard.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday, July 25th at 9AM from the BOYKO MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 709 Broadway, Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 36 Rockland Street, Fall River. Internment immediately following in Notre Dame Cemetery.
