Obituary

Nacklie Kozhaya “Nick” Nessralla, 83 years old, of East Bridgewater and formerly of Brockton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Akoura, Lebanon, he was the son of the late Kozhaya and Hanne (Athebe) Nessralla. Nacklie was also the beloved husband of the late Marie Antoinette (Khoury) Nessralla.
Nacklie was educated in Lebanon; he proudly served in the Lebanese Army for six years; when he immigrated to the United States in 1959, he first settled in the Tipperary section of Brockton, which was populated by many Lebanese families. Upon his arrival and throughout the years, he worked with his siblings and cousins for the family business, Nessralla’s Farms, at multiple sites throughout the greater Brockton area. In 1993, he became sole owner of Nessralla’s Farm of Marshfield, Inc., where he worked tirelessly and with great love of the land until the present day. Nacklie had a great passion for his farm and all of his loyal patrons who were like family to him; he had the highest level of respect and gratitude for the doctors, nurses and support staff who took such excellent care of him, especially during these past few months; he cherished his family, friends and neighbors whose love and devotion meant the world to him; his beloved Maronite faith and all of its traditions and beliefs were the foundation upon which he built his life. He was a faithful and devoted communicant of Saint Theresa Maronite Church.

Saint Basil once said, “A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost. He who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.” Nacklie will always be remembered for his abiding faith in God, his deep devotion to the Blessed Mother, his tenacity of will and strength of character, and his generosity of spirit and quiet nobility. He will always be dearly loved and truly missed by all who knew him.

Nacklie is survived by his loving children, Paul G. and his wife Kristina of Plymouth, MA, Michelle A. and Denise A. of East Bridgewater, MA, and Lisa A. of Bridgewater, MA; he also leaves his three beautiful grandchildren: Cady Elizabeth, Lauren Marie and Nicholas Paul, whom he greatly loved and adored, and his brother, Youseff and his late wife Boutraseeyee of Halifax, MA.
He was also the brother of the late Amanda Nessralla and her husband John, of Brockton, MA, the late Mounirah Nasrallah and her husband Mounir of Orlando, FL., the late Abdu Nessralla and his wife Josephine of Halifax, MA, and the late Naja Nessralla, who is survived by his wife, Samira, of Marshfield, MA. Nacklie is also survived by many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
The Funeral procession will gather at Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, on Monday, July 25 2016 at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Service of the Divine Liturgy at Saint Theresa Maronite Church, 343 North Main St., Brockton, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation hours are on Sunday, July 24th from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. with an incense service at 5:00 p.m.
The family respectfully requests that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Nacklie’s memory to Saint Theresa Maronite Church, PO Box 2567, Brockton, MA 02305-2567.
